Ride needed from SE PA to Minnesota

Postby Janet McNally » Fri Aug 20, 2010 11:39 am

For a gate. 51 inches by 12 foot gate in SE PA. The mfr only sells direct off the place and does not ship, so I think the only way I can get this gate out here is to find someone traveling with a trailer. 717 area code in PA. I can drive to WI or IA.

Does it come with a warranty against Fjord horse escapes?

LOL, you apparently have figured out what the gate is for! No, no warrenty, but definitely much stronger than anything I can buy here! btw, Helga has trashed part of my 20 yo handling facility..... so apparently I am going to be rebuilding that too

Aw Janet, have you forgotten that a little bit of 'hot' wire will cause horses to leave fences alone? A short piece will make a sheep gate horse proof.

ya, hot wire does make just about everything Helga proof, it is just about the only way to contain her. just that this is in a place where running a hot wire would be rather inconvenient. This is a horse that I have found straddled over many a sheep gate btw...she just waits until I come and lift her feet for her. She also wades in the 300 gallon rubbermade water tank, and considers any cattle pannel to be an invitation to climbing and crushing the pannel. She's a heckuva puller though.
