leasing sheep to graze

Postby Michelle Brothers » Mon Mar 03, 2014 1:40 pm

How would you price a service like this? Maybe a dozen sheep grazing small quadrants over a period of a month. Providing electronet, sheep, and their care. This is part of a local park project that has grant funding. Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand the question. are you proposing to provide vegetation management for a park and would like to charge for the service? Find out what it would cost them to hire someone with a mower, that would be your upper limit. then add up your costs for travel to and from the site, the netting and equipment (I would spread this out over 5 years time), and your labor.

I am not sure a dozen sheep can make much of an impact, however.
